This is the first year I felt that 643 had the better calf, 0305. The 0312 calf is a very nice calf also and has excellent eye pigment. Even though they both have good birth weights (82#), their CED Numbers are high because of their sire's inconsistency. These are not bulls to use on first calf heifers until they have their own track records.

Sire of 0312 and 0305

"Chunk", as he is affectionately called, is owned by Tom & Tina Harvey of Double H Farms, Canton , Texas. I saw him at the Tyler Fair competition where he won his class. I was impressed with his overall composition and especially his hindquarter development. Although he has sired several calves larger than we prefer, he did an outstanding job mated to the "Twins" as is evidenced by these two young bull calves. He was Reserve Senior Champion and Get of Sire at the 2002 Texas State Polled Hereford Show (in Tyler 2001), and Reserve Senior Champion at the 2001 Texas State Fair and Pan American Livestock Exhibition.
